Research visit and stakeholder meetings in South Africa
The Project Lead Eva Krockow spent a fully-packed week with project collaborators at the University of Cape Town to discuss research plans and future projects. Eva met with local researchers, shadowed a hospital ward round for antimicrobial stewardship and discussed opportunities for non-academic impact with regional NGOs and artists. A particular highlight was the team-building adventure hike up Lion’s Head.
Eva was also grateful for the personal invitation to present her work at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Pretoria. During an inspiring half-day workshop, she met with students and staff, discussed research and engaged in creative exercises to visualise the threat of antibiotic resistance.
