The Sky at Night visits campus
The popular and long-running BBC series ‘The Sky at Night’ recently came to campus to find out more about the Â鶹ÊÓƵ's latest findings on the NASA Juno mission.
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ team, from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, is the only formal UK lead on the Juno mission- NASA's programme to study our solar system's largest planet, Jupiter. Planetary scientists and astronomers have been studying the gas giant's magnetosphere, dynamic atmosphere, and polar auroras.
Reader in Physics and Astronomy at the University, Dr Jonathan Nichols, shared his extensive knowledge on the part that the University has played through Juno’s journey to Jupiter.
