How do I comply?

Deposit in , to be made freely available as soon as possible and no later than 6 months after publication, the final published version or the final authors accepted manuscript (AAM) of each peer-reviewed primary research paper or non-commissioned review article, supported in whole or in part by BHF funding.

Many publishers will deposit into Europe PMC (or into PubMed Central, from where it is mirrored to Europe PMC) for you, please check with your publisher. If you are required to do it yourself it is a simple process, further information is .

Are there funds available to pay for gold open access?

We receive a block grant from BHF managed by the University Library.

Which license should I choose?

In the case of immediate (Gold) open access, authors and publishers should license research papers using the Creative Commons Attribution license (CC-BY 4.0).
