We are delighted with our recent performance in the (REF2021), in which we placed second in the UK for our overall research quality (GPA) out of 81 submissions (according to analysis by the ).
In addition:
- 94% of our overall research was judged to be ‘world-leading’ (4*) or ‘internationally excellent’ (3*)
- Two-thirds of the real-world impact of our research was judged to be ‘outstanding’ in REF2021
