Pollen and Spore Counts

This page is dedicated to reporting the pollen and fungal spore levels in the East Midlands, paying particular mention to those known to be allergenic.

Ash and yew pollen levels were very high last week (25 March - 31 March). Birch and willow were at moderate levels. We also saw alder, elm, hazel, hornbeam and poplar (03 April). 

Total fungal spore levels were low last week. Cladosporium and Alternaria are below the allergenic threshold (1 April). 

We are currently outside the Grass pollen season. Reporting will start again in May 2025.

We are currently outside weed pollen season. Reporting will start again when the season picks up in June 2025.
